Computerized Tomography (CT) is a sophisticated imaging tool utilizing x-rays and sophisticated computers to generate cross-sectional images of the body. CT scans are used to diagnose a wide range of diseases from head to toe. Spiral CT enables faster and more accurate scanning capabilities. CT exams are used when people are ill or injured, or when a physician suspects a medical problem that is not easily detectable from a conventional physical examination. Centrelake's GE Discovery LS configured system non-invasively assists physicians in the diagnosis of a variety of anatomical areas. Because of the clarity and detail provided by a CT scan, patients increase their chances of avoiding exploratory surgery. Also, because a CT scan uses an ultra-thin, low dose X-ray beam, radiation exposure is minized. Compared to traditional X-Rays, CT scans provide greater depth and a finely detailed visualization of the internal organs and soft tissues enhancing the overall diagnostic confidence we have in all of our studies resulting in greater peace of mind for you and your families.
At Centrelake Imaging & Oncology, we perform a broad range of studies, including advanced CT exams not performed at most imaging centers. We have highly-trained radiologists supported by the most advanced equipment that allow us to perform progressive studies which are usually performed only at the largest academic hospitals.
